broken hiatus

first of all, i really really feel that i should perhaps write something about actor heath ledger whom passed away 2-3 days ago due to murder drug overdose.

there have been loadsa speculations, but i suppose no one can really say until the results for the autopsy comes out.

but the thing about heath ledger that really stood out to me, was that he was BLOODY YOUNG!
you've seen him in 10 things i hate about you as that obnoxious guy who sings "i love you, baby" on the stadium benches, in casanova as the "sex-god-of-all-times", in brokeback mountain as "mr gay", and many many more.

i was never quite a HUGE fan, but i was just someone who was interested in what he could/would come up with next. i saw him as someone who'd produce many more movies and would be around the movie industry for a long while. same as johnny depp, leonardo dicaprio, rachel mcadams, ladidadida. they're just so young and so full of life, you'd think they'd live til the end of time, continuously producing movies and blockbusters. you kinda have a subconscious perception that they'd be around for-like...EVER! (although of course, everyone has to soon commit/admit to their defeat in the hands of d-e-a-t-h)

but the great thing about heath ledger, was that his name was enough to create a curiosity for the movie that he recently starred in. his name alone would make you wonder and WANT to watch the movie released. i for one, have a habit of pre-rating a movie before i even watch it. and of course, i base this pre-rating on the actors/actresses in it.

johnny depp? cool. must watch.
leonardo dicaprio? mmmmmmmmmmmm
jake gyllaenhal? uh try lah. see what happens. (i thought he was crap in rendition by the way..)
heath ledger? ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo should be goooooodddddd

so that's what i thought about heath ledger.
he's highly rated on my pre-movie rating.
and to have him not on my list anymore....is a shocker indeed.
heath ledger is someone whom you remember deep deep down somewhere, although you don't think of him everyday/month/year.
he's one of those.."presence" ppl.
heck, i'm writing this post only because i felt like he needed a tribute or something on my blog!!

and it seems like EVERYONE LOVES HIM!

having exchanged words and what-not with a few friends, they were all as shocked and upset as i was!

and i'm pretty sure that plenty of ppl around the globe would have vowed to re-watch his old movies of the day just to relive the memory of him. i think i shall as well.

"WHAT TO DOOOOOOO??" i wailed to my dad just yesterday, and i really felt lke crying.
and he just looked at me speechless.

god bless heath ledger and may he rest in peace.
